Magical Block Island, New Shoreham RI. Seascapes, Landscapes, and Animals

The first offshore wind farm in the United States, the 30 megawatt, 5 turbine Block Island Wind Farm is scheduled to be online in 2016. Soon, the Block Island Wind Farm will not only supply most of Block Island’s power, but also reduce air pollution across southern New England for years to come.

Block Island is part of the U.S. state of Rhode Island, named after the Dutch explorer Adriaen Block. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean about 14 miles (23 km) east of Montauk Point, Long Island, New York, and 13 miles (21 km) south of the coast of mainland Rhode Island, from which it is separated by Block Island Sound.

What a fun couple to work with on this January 15th,2017 wedding at the Candlewood Inn. We did a first look at the Inn and then went to a Greek Orthodox church in Danbury, and then back to The Candlewood Inn for sunset shots. We applied one of our soft presets with some tweeking per Elizabeth’s request on this small sample of images from this winter day.
