Brianna & John hired me to shoot their 9/9/2017 wedding at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven,Ct. and they wanted to do their engagement shoot in Newport, Rhode Island. I jumped at the idea of photographing this couple in Newport, so we decided to take advantage of some great locations. We started at Newport Vineyards, then went to Salve Regina College, and finally the Cliff Walk.
Newport Vineyards reminded me of my days in Northern California visiting Napa Valley. Aquidneck Island is blessed with one of the most desirable farming areas in the country,if not the world. This extra ordinary micro-climate is created by the combination of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream to the South and the moderating effects of Narragansett Bay.
Cliff Walk is a 7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Newport,RI that features beautiful views of the ocean with cliffs, mansions, wild flowers, and just a great location for engagement photography. Salve Regina College is also located along this walk, along with a “summer cottage” with 70 rooms, called The Breakers, previously owned by multimillionaire Cornelius Vanderbilt II.
